Youth football at its best during the Tummers Cup 2024 at R.K.V.V. METO

On Sunday May 26, 2024 it’s time for the second edition of the Tummers Cup. An international football tournament with seven passionate U15 youth teams from Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark who will compete on the grounds of R.K.V.V. METO against local pride METO!

For the second year in a row, Tummers is the proud main sponsor of the Tummers Cup. A tournament that we created in 2023 to give young football players from the region the opportunity to play matches against international clubs. Last years edition was at sv DOSKO in Bergen op Zoom and this year we organized it together with SK Beveren and R.K.V.V. METO on Sunday May 26 on the fields of Sportpark Jack van Hoek in Hoogerheide.

The teams will compete with each other in short matches of 2×15 minutes and around 4:00 pm they will decide who will take home the Tummers Cup this year. In addition to the competition, entertainment has been arranged and the teams can count on lunch and plenty of drinks during the day.

We are proud to announce that the proceeds from the Tummers Cup (entrance €3 per person – children under 12 are free) go to a good cause. This charity is linked to Tim Janssen. A great sports fan who died unexpectedly last year due to a brain tumor. As a tribute to Tim’s years of dedication, we would like to realize his dream: a football cage for the students of Het Kasteelpark (Oud-Turnhout) where Tim was a teacher. Therefore, public is more than welcome on May 26 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at R.K.V.V. METO in Hoogerheide!
