The construction works during the first phase of the Tummers new building project are progressing steadily. This third construction update describes which activities have taken place at our new workshop recently and what the planning for the period coming up looks like<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n \t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<\/section>\n\n\n

With the pouring of an extra strong concrete floor and setting up the walls, the new workshop of Tummers Food Processing Solutions is increasingly taking shape. The overhead cranes and the pipes for climate control and welding extraction are now mounted and also the connection with the neighbouring building has already been made.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/article>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/section>\n\n\n

Climate control<\/h3><\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The walls and ceiling of the workshop were provided with sound insulation, so that companies in our direct surrounding experience less nuisance. Because the right air quality is essential for a pleasant working environment, at the same time the ducts for welding extraction and climate control have been installed. This system not only ensures a constant temperature in the workplace, but also sufficient ventilation and optimum humidity.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/article>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<\/section>\n\n\n

Lifting equipment<\/h3><\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Tummers\u2019 biggest machines can weigh tens of tons. The new workshop therefore features 4 crane tracks, each with 2 electrically operated overhead cranes. These cranes can individually move weights up to 6,250 kilos across the width of the workshop. <\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Because the tracks are movable lengthwise, the total system can lift up to 24 tons anywhere. As a result, Tummers no longer have to rent a crane for transport and they can organize their production even more efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/article>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<\/section>\n\n\n

Tummers Technology Center<\/h3><\/h2>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t

Natural light contributes to the well-being employees. Therefore, Tummers have fitted one side of their new workshop with insulating, but transparent panels across the width of the building. The other side is connected to the neighbouring building, where the Tummers Technology Center will be located. This laboratory will move from Tummers Simon Dryers Technology in England to Hoogerheide in the Netherlands and will serve as a test facility for products and machines.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n \t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<\/section>\n\n\n

The previous construction update described the works that took place during the expansion of Tummers\u2019 machine shop. Now this is finished, the office and floor have been completely renovated and the entire space has been over painted. Even though the turning shop is now large enough to drive forklift trucks, for safety reasons only pallet trucks are still allowed inside. <\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/article>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/section>\n\n\n
