Tummers’ renovated canteen becomes multifunctional
From April, large groups of customers who visit our headquarters will be welcomed at our renewed company canteen. Multiple changes were made to make the space suitable as both a canteen for our employees, as a conference room for our customers.
We were in need of an extra conference room, because the conference rooms we had were too small for larger groups of visitors. And as the renovated ‘Tummers Café’ now offers more space than before, this will no longer be a problem.
In the past few years, our organization grew significantly. Therefore, in addition to an outdated furnishing, the main reason for the renovation was the space. As we replaced the kitchen, bar and furniture, a lot of extra space was created. And for its multifunctionality we also provided the canteen with a beamer, a projection screen and an easy to move centre table, so it can now serve as a conference room for our visitors.
The extra function of the canteen could of course not be at the expense of the atmosphere. So we chose for a relatable, industrial appearance. Due to a new furnishing with many natural materials like wood, stone and metal, we describe the canteen’s new appearance as “spacious, but cosy”.
